Miracles in the Mission

At the beginning of many of our meetings the missionaries share the miracles that they are experiencing as they do the Lord's work. Here are some of the recent miracles but names and places are removed to protect their privacy:

  • A man began meeting with the missionaries. As he studied he realized that he needed to listen with his heart instead of his head. He also realized that if what he heard was true, he would need to do something about it. He started living the principles that he learned. He felt the spirit strongly. At his baptism he bore sweet testimony and related that he felt the same spirit as the people that stood at the waters of Mormon, “they clapped their hands for joy” (Mosiah 18:11).
  • A man who loves to study theology, showed up at church. No one knew him and he himself didn’t know why he was there. A friend in another country suggested he go to church. As he walked up to the Church he felt he couldn’t do it. He walked away but the Spirit told him to go back and attend. He was greeted by missionaries, they started teaching him and he was recently baptized. Now he works on genealogy and loves attending church.
  • An Elder was sick the first week in his new area. He and his companion went back to the apt. and made phone calls to people whose names were in the Area Book. The first one called had come to church once earlier, was given a card but missionaries couldn’t reach her. She answered the phone and was very happy to meet with them. Her baptism was attended by many family members and friends.
  • A lady was baptized by her son, who was baptized in June. She wanted to be certain she was not simply following in her sons footsteps so worked hard to receive her own testimony.
"These are they whose names are written in heaven."
