"And Behold, This Was A Joyful Meeting." Alma 27:16

All of our children, and their children, greeted us at the airport
in San Francisco. It truly was a joyful meeting!

"Rejoice, for the Hour of Your Mission is Come..." D&C 31:3

Sister & President Kosak
Mauerplatz

Meeting with President & Sister Kosak for a few short hours
was enough time for us to know that the Germany Berlin Mission
is in good hands. The Lord's work will move forward
in a beautiful and glorious way.

"...shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage...and on, on to the victory! Let your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad. Let the earth break forth into singing...Let the mountains shout for joy, and all ye valleys cry aloud; and all ye seas and dry lands tell the wonders of your Eternal King!... And let the sun, moon, and the morning stars sing together, and let all the sons of God shout for joy! ... And again I say, how glorious is the voice we hear from heaven, proclaiming in our ears, glory, and salvation, and honor, and immortality, and eternal life; kingdoms, principalities, and powers!" Doc. & Cov. 128:22, 23

"My Heart is Brim with Joy" Alma 26:11

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the time and energy and effort that you put into creating a memory book for us. You have touched our hearts - again! What a treasure.

"...behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God." Alma 26:11

President Pimentel's 'Til We Meet Again Talk

                Remember
President Pimentel’s ‘Til We Meet Again

Remember the sacred nature of your call.  You are called by a Prophet of God and in times past would have been sustained and released in General Conference.  Next time you attend conference, imagine yourself being released with a vote of thanks, a job well done, by 14 million members of the Church across the world.  That is the magnitude of your call.

Remember the Pimentel’s Plateau Theory.  If you stay back from the edge of the cliff you won’t accidently fall off and get hurt. This applies to keeping the commandments. Set your fences far enough away from the edge to protect yourself from danger.  You can have a wonderful life – away from the edge.

Released from your mission? NO! Instead of being released, pretend that you are being transferred – with you as Mission President. Be for yourself what your mission president has been for you. He has given you rules to follow, encouragement, spiritual guidance, etc. do the same for yourself.   Take the good things that you learned from your mission and build on those principles.

"And Behold, This Was A Joyful Meeting." Alma 27:16

Sister Young, Sister Uhlig, Elder & Sister Johnson, Elder Jackson, Elder J. Baker

In the Tiergarten Ward, Sunday, June 17th is the "Day of the Open Door" where members invite family and friends to attend Sacrament Meeting. Seeing the missionaries in action as they greet visitors is a joy.

Throughout our mission, and others as well, the missionaries and members are extending special invitations to attend Sacrament Meeting. In the Lankwitz Ward, 30 friends attended!
Members + Missionaries = Miracles!

"And they did fellowship one with another, and did rejoice one with another,
and did have great joy." Helaman 6:3

Sunday Meetings

Elder Barnes and Elder Robinson were greeting in the front of the church in Dahlem (Berlin Stake) when we arrived. It was great to see their smiles.

President Pimentel gave a fireside this afternoon in Groitzsch (Leipzig Stake). Elder Beckstead and Elder DuPaul helped make that happen. The photo below is of the plaza near the church building and of the court house. Simply beautiful!

What a day to greet the new missionaries. Three trips to the airport, lost luggage found, a few other surprises, but it all worked out! The schedule didn't go as planned but these wonderful new missionaries are here and ready to work.

Their amazing trainers have already received them with open arms.

"And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." D&C 84:88

"Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant" - Matt. 25:23

Back: Elders Christensen, Eggmann, Booher, Hancock, Lersch
Liechty, Ramage, Weitzel, Bonner, Brunken, Swanson
Middle: Elder & Sister Thom, Elder & Sister Hoggan
Elder Skoczylis, Sister & Elder Marks, Sister Peltier
Front: Elders Pierson, Tanner, Harris, Wilson, Carlson, Thorley

With team work and terrific
organization we helped 25 missionaries prepare for their travel home.
There were interviews, meals, over night and vehicle arrangements plus over 100 pieces of luggage to deal with. In addition to that, multiple trips to the train station and airport. We are pleased it went so well.

These terrific missionaries will be missed but they leave a work ethic that continues.

"We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love..."
