Senior Missionary Activity - Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany

Senior Missionaries in front of the door where Martin Luther nailed his
95 Theses in 1517.
This is the SchlossKirche (Castle Church) built between 1496-1509.
On the white band near the top you can read the (translated) words:
"A Mighty Fortress is Our God."
The Stadtkirche (Town Church), also called St. Mary's Church, has
twin towers. Martin Luther preached here. He would stand at the
circular podium.
At the edge of town, an oak tree was planted in 1830, to commemorate
Luther, a date of great significance for
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Reformation had to take place so that the Restoration could
also take place. President Monson said, referring to Martin Luther
and other leaders of the Reformation,
"Their deeds were heroic, their contributions many, their sacrifices great..."
