Zone Conference Overview

It was a great week of teaching, a great week of learning in the mission. President Pimentel taught the doctrine of Baptism and also shared many examples of the miracles of Der Advent der Wunder that took place during the Christmas Season.

President and Sister Pimentel taught a Companionship Inventory and Active Listening Skills workshop. The Assistants taught a workshop on "Teaching for Understanding". It is important to keep the teaching short, simple and sequenced. Missionaries should know the doctrine, expound the doctrine and trust the Spirit. The workshops were taught eight times during the week and we all had great fun doing it.

In every zone Elders and Sisters taught a variety of topics, a few being: scripture study skills, planning and accountability, importance of the Book of Mormon in teaching, unity, goal setting and teaching skills.

One of the miracles of zone conference is the feeding of the multitudes. The sweet ward/branch members feed between 40 to 67 missionaries. They always know how much food to purchase and prepare, and they have it ready when needed. They are amazing! The food is healthy and delicious as well. We appreciate the time, energy and labor of love.

We look forward to zone conference because we enjoy each others company and bask in the Spirit of the day.

There is always something going on at the office! Sister Williams loves it when the shipment of the Books of Mormon arrive. Our Monday morning office meeting gets us off to a good start. The Assistants, Elder Thorley and Elder Ott, love to find and teach. This time they are on their way to a teaching appointment.You never know who will help change the light bulbs (Elder Williams and President Pimentel).

Sunday Meetings with the Tiergarten Ward, Berlin Stake

Today ward conference was held in the Tiergarten Ward. President Ruetz, the stake president, commented that in our meetings there were sixteen different nationalities represented. The 2,000 year old invitation to "Come Unto Christ" is for all. We are all children of God.

Brother Meiser, Maren Meiser, Sister Meiser

visited at the mission home, coming from Frankfurt, Germany.

Maren has been home from her mission a little over a year. It was great to

see her and spend some time with her family.

Travel to Oldenburg

President Pimentel needed to conduct 2 first time temple interviews and also 2 missionary application interviews in the Oldenburg District. After a 3+ hour train ride and two transfers, we were picked up at the station by the zone leaders, Elder Evans and Elder Johnson.

Miracle story: A few weeks before Christmas the Elders gave a man a pass along card and invited him to come to Church. He wanted to but didn't show up.

Today he called Elder Evans and Elder Johnson, said he wanted to meet right now. They came to the church and showed him the Restoration DVD. He said he had been praying to find a church. While meeting with the Elders he felt the Spirit and said, "I need to be baptized!"
