Russell M. Nelson said,
"When we think of missionaries, we generally picture in our minds young men with shirts and ties and young women dressed modestly. But along with them are marvelous senior missionaries who have answered the pleadings of prophets and apostles for more missionary couples.

I express gratitude for our senior missionaries. They are young in spirit, wise, and willing to work... These dear members are willing to serve and strengthen the lives of others. Even if these seniors don’t know the local language, their accomplishments are great and their spirit of sacrifice is precious.", "Senior Missionaries and the Gospel", Ensign, Nov. 2004

We are so grateful to have wonderful senior missionaries serving in the Germany Berlin Mission. They serve as member support missionaries, office missionaries and working with the Young Single Adults (Center for Young Adults). They witness and take part in baptisms, they are loved by the ward members, they make miracles happen. Here are a few comments made by our senior missionaries:

  • “As missionaries we have received so much more than we have given.”
  • "The miracles of our mission began when we started seriously planning for our mission."
  • We were happy to hear, “thanks, we need you” from both the missionaries and the Young Single Adults.
  • "We don't speak German, but we speak the language of the heart."
  • "We feel the blessings of service."
