Visit to Bernburg, Germany

President Pimentel and I had quite the adventure on Friday as we
travelled to Bernburg. The 2 hour trip took 4 1/2 hours due to freeway traffic, road closure and a navigator that didn't know how to adapt. However, it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the time. We not only got to see the countryside and small villages with cobblestone roads but we rode a ferry across the Elbe River (unexpected but necessary)! We also drove through a village that celebrated its founding over 1,000 years ago.

We were able to spend a short amount of time with Elder Mortensen and Elder Hatch before we all headed off to other meetings. We really did have a wonderful day.

On the way out of town we saw this old church, the beautiful tree lined roadway and cute children out for a bike ride with their mother.
