Once again we started with training only this time by Elder & Sister Nelson.
We had lunch and all found the street car. The Kreuzkirche (1333) is viewed
in the background of the oldest school. We visited the New Town Hall (1913)
among other historical sites. The view from the top of the Town Hall
is incredible. The sites were so beautiful not too many photos of the
missionaries were taken. Oops!

Senior Missionary Outing in Berlin

Brandenburg Gate (1791) - Berlin

Sister Chase (front), Sister Oberg (back), Sister & Elder McClellan
Sister & Elder Hoggan

Many of our senior missionaries gathered in Berlin to spend the day together.
We started with Brother Gruse (Berlin Institute Director) giving us
instruction followed by lunch. Public transportation was the easiest way to get
around so that is what we did. We visited the Brandenburg Gate followed by
the Jewish Memorial and then Check-Point Charlie. The weather cooperated
most of the day and as we were finishing, the thunder and lightening storm hit.
It was a memorable day, fun day.

Sister Jordan from the Oldenburg District has been waiting patiently for
her VISA since early December. We have loved having her
serve in Berlin and Dresden but now she can serve where she was called,

Mittweida Missionaries

We stopped off to see Elder McCallister and Elder Colton in Mittweida on our way back to Berlin. We enjoyed a little "specialized training" and were back on the road.

Schwarzenberg Missionaries

Schwarzenberg is a beautiful city in the southern part of our mission. After meeting with members in the branch we met Elder Nethercott and Elder Perry for "specialized training". They were very gracious as we conducted an unannounced apartment inspection. They passed with flying colors!

Elder McClellan, Branch President
Wolfgang Schmidt, Ward Mission Leader

Prenzlau Branch Presidency
Elder McClellan, 1st Counselor
Andreas Büttner, Branch President
Elder Ott, 2nd Counselor

It was a lovely drive to Neubrandenburg. We thoroughly enjoyed the time
we had with Elder Gessati. The Spirit was strong even as Elder
Gessati spoke in Italian and Elder Papeo translated it into German for the
members. It was again translated into English for those of us wearing
a headset. How wonderful to have a trilingual missionary and modern technology. Elder Papeo is the only missionary from Italy in the mission and the Lord new he would be needed in the Neubrandenburg Zone.
